About
Belfast-based artist Marie McCrory (b. 1967) has reclaimed her childhood passion for painting and drawing, overcoming decades of self-doubt to reconnect with her creative roots.
Her self-portrait, her first venture into pastel pencil drawing, was selected for the 145th Royal Ulster Academy Annual Exhibition.
Marie specialises in portraiture of both humans and hounds, going beyond simple accuracy to capture the unique, magical character of her subjects. Her broader portfolio features distinct works drawn from random pieces of inspiration.
